Literary Reading by Hannah Tinti & Imad Rahman (EVT 76)

Hannah Tinti's work has appeared in Best American Mystery Stories, Story Quarterly, and Epoch, among other publications. Publisher's Weekly has called the stories in "Animal Crackers", Tinti's debut collection, "striking," "highly-original" and "gorgeous." She is currently the editor of One Story magazine.

Imad Rahman was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. He earned his MFA from the University of Florida and was a James C. McCreight Fiction Fellow at the University of Madison-Wisconsin. His stories have appeared in numerous literary journals. "I Dream of Microwaves" is his first book. Booklist calls Rahman's writing "fresh, incisive and devilish" as it "brilliantly ponders the seduction of make-believe, the mutability of the self, our longing for recognition and how very difficult it is to cut through each other's defenses to make meaningful contact."
