Auditions for Autumn Quarter

The Department of Drama will be holding auditions for:

Caligula, by Albert Camus

Directed by Jean-Marie Apostolides

Performing Nov. 4-6 & 11-13, Pigott Theater

A young roman emperor confronts the lack of meaning in life after the senseless death of his sister Drusilla; he attempts to teach the world at large the same lesson.

Closer, by Patrick Marber

Directed by Daniel Sack

Performing Nov. 17-21, Nitery Theater

A black comedy of sexual politics and the brutalities of intimacy, Closer describes the relationships between four Londoners as they stumble through a maze of conflicting needs and longings, grotesque betrayals and misplaced trust. A decidedly character-driven study of the darker side of contemporary romance, it has been produced widely since its 1997 London premiere.
