CANCELLED - Re-vision(ing) Mito: Mexica Myth Staging," Performance & Lecture

A public performance of an excerpt from “The Hungry Woman: A Mexican Medea” by Cherríe Moraga, directed by Kinan & Lakin Valdez of Teatro Campesino & featuring Alma Martinez, Vivis Columbetti.. This piece interprets the Aztec myth of the War between brother and sister -- Huitzilopotchil (Sun God) and Coyolxauhqui (Moon Goddess) from a Xicana-Indígena perspective. It will be followed by a discussion with the director, playwright and actors as well as a brief talk by members of Teatro Campesino.
