Italian contrabassist and composer Stefano Scodanibbio is renowned for his brilliant interpretations of contemporary bass repertoire and his uncanny command of the instrument. His repertoire includes many works written especially for him, including pieces by Donatoni, Estrada, Ferneyhough, Globokar, Sciarrino, Xenakis, and numerous original works. Scodanibbio returns to Stanford for an exciting program of cutting-edge compositions and improvisation.
