Stanford Flute Ensemble, Karen Van Dyke, director

The Stanford Flute Ensemble, a modern flute choir, performs works written or arranged for multiple flutes that span over 400 years in music history. The ensemble utilizes alto and bass flutes, in addition to piccolo and standard orchestral flute, to produce a marvelous blend of varying voices and colors in the flute family. This program includes works by Catherine McMichael, Gabriel Faure, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, and Johann Strauss.
