San Francisco Girls Chorus

"...the choir displayed plush carpets of sound, warmly blended and soothingly phrased."

-- San Francisco Chronicle

The Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus is one of the Bay Area's brightest gems. Lively Arts celebrates the choir's 25th anniversary with the commission of a new work by Frank La Rocca. Written specifically for the chorus, this world premiere will fill Memorial Church with golden tones. The program also includes a hauntingly beautiful canticle for treble chorus and handbells by Sir John Tavener, folk songs from China and Japan, and American spirituals.
