REBEL with Derek Lee Ragin, countertenor

"They played beautifully, with a force and intensity that was invigorating."

-- St. Paul Pioneer Press

The captivating period-instrument ensemble REBEL, named after French Baroque composer Jean-Fery Rebel, has earned international accolades for its provocative emphasis on the sensuous, emotional charge of Baroque music. The program features a tribute to Farinelli, the legendary 18th-century castrato, spectacularly sung by British countertenor Derek Lee Ragin. The critically acclaimed Ragin was heard as the voice of Farinelli in the film of the same name.
