Chanticleer and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra

"This project has reverberated with special energy from the very beginning."

-- Joseph Jennings, Chanticleer Music Director

Travel with us to sun-drenched Spain, where masterpieces by composer Jaime de Casellas were recently uncovered. Written in 1733, the glowing harmonies of these orchestrated choral works have lain dormant for centuries. From the historic Cathedral of Toledo to Stanford's magnificent Memorial Church, these rare musical treasures are reawakened through the glorious voices and period instruments of two of the Bay Area's crown jewels--Chanticleer and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.

PROGRAM

Jose de San Juan: Salve a 8; Jaime de Casellas: Stabat Mater Dolorosa, Missa Pange Lingua, Jornaleros de la Vina, and Alarma, Alarma, Sentidos!
