Open Auditions for StanShakes's 2004-05 Season!

Stanford's premier dramatic company offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore all aspects of the theatrical craft in its 2004 — 05 Season. Here's how it works:

• You will spend a full year training with fellow company members in a fundamental theatrical program studying all aspects of voice, movement and theory

• You will receive practical performance experience in two of the Bard's greatest plays in this Season's productions of Hamlet and Twelfth Night

• You will have opportunities to explore design, backstage and technical work through crewing for one of our Season shows

• You will become an integral part of a community of like-minded theatrical artists who will support and develop your work be it as actor, director, designer or technical and administrative staff

• You will find a group of friends, colleagues and collaborators who will become your support system and theatrical family during the year(s) you are with us

• Credit available for participation in this ensemble through the Drama Department

** Show up at 2 PM (Sunday) and 7 PM (Monday / Tuesday) for the informational meeting on our group and to sign up for an audition slot. Either prepare a Shakespearean monologue for your audition, or come ready to cold-read from the selection we will provide.

** Not an actor? Interested in other aspects of theatre? We constantly strive to expand our realm of expression and the current ensemble has been enriched through collaboration with singers, dancers, martial artists and more. Even if your skills go beyond the “traditionally” dramatic, we encourage you to drop by and show us your way of creating beautiful theatre.

** If you are a director, designer and / or theatrical technician with or without experience, drop by to schedule an interview and see what we have to offer!

** For auditions information and more on the group, check out our website: http://www.stanford.edu/group/stanfordshakes/

** No experience necessary! People of all backgrounds encouraged to audition!
