Difficult Dialogues "Valuing Families: What Works"

This conference draws on the work of the Institute of Research on Women and Gender's Difficult Dialogues seminar on the changing structure of the family. The aim of the conference is to raise the level of public debate about families, marriage, and children by emphasizing empirical research to dispel popular myths that have hampered this debate. Balancing work and family, promoting marriage, family diversity, and supports for families are some of the topics that conference attendees will consider. Co-sponsored by Journalism Fellowships in Child and Family Policy program at the University of Maryland.
