'American Promise' movie screening

The film, which follows two young African American boys for 12 years through their time at an exclusive private school, provides a rare look into the lives of two middle class Black families as they navigate the ups and downs of parenting and educating their sons. The goal of the film is to empower boys, their parents, and educators and help close the black male achievement gap. We will be screening a shortened version of the full documentary.

Following the film, we will have a Q and A with the filmmakers (and parents of the students in the film) Stanford alum Joe Brewster and Michele Stephenson.
