Mads Tolling Quartet

In the decade since internationally acclaimed violinist Mads Tolling exploded onto the scene, he’s re-defined the jazz violin. A former nine-year member of and arranger/composer for the Turtle Island String Quartet, Mads has explored jazz with the same intensity he brings to classical works. While still a student at the Berklee College of Music, he was recommended by no less a fan than Jean-Luc Ponty for a spot in Stanley Clarke’s band. And in the past 10 years he’s been dazzling fans with concerts and CDs including Turtle Island’s 4+Four and A Love Supreme – The Legacy of John Coltrane, both of which won him GRAMMY® awards.
