Introduction to Buddhism: Revolution From Within

Introduction to Buddhism - Revolution from within

Documentary film of 2004 Nobel Peace laureate to illustrate Buddhist concept

"It's very, very important for us to take action at the local level. Because sometimes when we think of global problems, we get disempowered. But when we take action at the local level, we are empowered." - Wangari Maathai, 2004 Nobel Peace Laureate

Gandhi urged us to "be the change we wish to see." Once we live the way to tap into our Buddha nature, we can realize the infinite positive potential to make the world a better place. The common ground of Gandhi and Maathai all lies in "revolution from within" - the central spirit of Buddhist practice.
