Stanford Diversity 201: Developing Contemporary Leadership in Every Student Community

PLEASE NOTE:  You do not have to attend for the entire 4-8:00pm session for Diversity 201.  If you plan on attending the interactive seminar, it would help us if you register at http://diversity201.stanford.edu, but walk-ins are welcome.

LET'S TALK ABOUT RACE, GENDER, POWER AND PRIVILEGE

Speaker and Facilitator, Dr. Shakti Butler.

4:00 - 5:30 p.m.  Interactive Seminar.

7:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Public Dialogue Presentation.

Come engage with Stanford students and community centers from across the campus in dialogues about the many identities that challenge, unite, and sometimes confound us. Stanford Diversity 201 will elevate the campus cultural dialogue by infusing student conversation with contributions from prominent and visionary thinkers in the areas of race, gender and ethnic identities and social change. The hope is to have an ongoing campus exchange that is certain to inspire, challenge our assumptions about one another, and ultimately help us find new ways to lead and develop community in Stanford. (This program is not offered for course credit.)

For those who are interested in the topic but not sure if this program is for you, please attend the prep workshop where you will have an opportunity to ask questions and get more information.
