Introduction to American Red Cross Disaster Services Course

Each year, the American Red Cross responds to over 70,000 disasters nationwide, and is a respected name in disaster preparedness, response and relief. This course is an introduction to the many emergency services the American Red Cross provides in an emergency. This course is a prerequisite before becoming a Disaster Volunteer with the American Red Cross. We hope that after students, staff and faculty take this course, they will join the Palo Alto American Red Cross disaster volunteer base learning more and specializing in a disaster services function to help prepare our community in the event of a major disaster such as an earthquake. There is no cost for attending this course.
