Distinguished Women in Science Colloquium

On November 11 and 12 the Chemistry Department

will be hosting its inaugural Distinguished Women in Science Colloquium. The first speaker is Prof. Victoria DeRose from Texas A&M University. As part of the DWIS colloquium, Prof. DeRose will be giving two talks which are open to the public. The first on November 11 at 4:15pm in Braun Lecture Hall is titled "Metals, Folding and Catalysis in Ribozymes: Structural Probes for Metal-RNA Interactions". The second talk is scheduled for November 12 at 9:30am in the Chemistry Gazebo. This is an informal talk centered on Prof. DeRose's experiences as female professor and will be accompanied by breakfast and a question-and-answer session.
