Stanford University's chapter of Amnesty International was formed to continue the work of Amnesty International in the Stanford community and raise campus-wide awareness of global human rights issues. We work to protect and promote human rights by engaging in letter writing and biweekly campus-wide petitioning. At our last meeting of Fall Quarter, on Monday, November 29th, we'll be discussing current human rights concerns and writing Urgent Action letters on behalf of political prisoners and victims of human rights abuses. We believe each and every one of us has the power to make a positive difference in the world — we invite you to join us.
