Perspectives on the State of U.S. Journalism: Print, Radio and Television

A panel discussion with three journalists, winners of John S. Knight Fellowships for Professional Journalists at Stanford University: Phillip Davis, Miami correspondent for National Public Radio, whose work covers immigration, international trade and the environment; Julia Powell, freelance television and documentary producer for PBS, Frontline and ABC News. Her film, "Ghosts of Rwanda, aired April 2004 on the 10th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide; and Frances Robles, Bogotá bureau chief for the Miami Herald. Her work includes the role of amnesty in conflict resolution. She was a member of two teams at the Miami Herald that won Pulitzer Prizes. The moderator for the panel will be James Bettinger, Knight Fellowships director and a professor in Stanford's communication department.
