Professor Deborah M. Gordon, Dept. of Biological Sciences, "Understanding the process of discovery: research as a teaching tool."

This talk will discuss various ways of using research as a teaching tool: individual research projects in large classes, small group projects in small seminar classes, and directed research by undergraduates. Students learn what it takes to get the answer to a genuine scientific question.
