Featured speaker: Laura Carstensen. Dr. Carstensen is a professor of psychology and director of the Life-span Development Laboratory.
Her specialties include socio-emotional selectivity theory, emotional development throughout the life span, the role social relationships play in psychological well-being, and the influence of motivation on cognitive processing in old age.
This lecture series encourages reflection within the Stanford community on matters of personal values, beliefs, and motivations. Bring your lunch, if you like!
