"Citizen King" explores the last five years in King's life by drawing on the personal recollections and eyewitness accounts of friends, movement associates, journalists, law enforcement officers, and historians, to illuminate this little-known chapter in the story of America's most important and influential moral leader.

Orlando Bagwell is the founder and president of ROJA Productions. A veteran documentary filmmaker, Bagwell was the executive producer of the six-hour documentary series Africans in America. As executive vice-president for Blackside, Inc., he supervised documentary film projects, including the production of the national PBS series The Great Depression and Malcolm X: Make it Plain. In addition, Bagwell produced two films for Blackside's internationally celebrated Eyes on the Prize, "Mississippi: Is This America?" and "Ain't Scared of Your Jails."
