Literary Reading by Peter Rock & Neil Connelly

Peter Rock is the author of the novels The Ambidextrist, Carnival Wolves and This Is the Place. His new novel, The Bewildered, will be published in Spring, 2005, and a collection of stories, The Unsettling, in the following year. He received a Stegner Fellowship at Stanford in Creative Writing. He has taught fiction at the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, and in the MFA program at San Francisco State University. His short stories and freelance non-fiction have appeared widely. The recipient of a 2000 NEA fellowship, he is currently working on new stories, novels, and several film adaptations. He currently teaches at Reed College.

Neil O'Boyle Connelly's second novel Buddy Cooper Finds a Way deals with the connections between QVC, faith healing, divorce, asteroids, and professional wrestling. Connelly directs the graduate fiction workshop in the MFA program at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He strongly denies rumors that he is secretly a masked member of World Wrestling Entertainment going by the name of "Captain Thunder."
