Faculty Seminar with Laurie A. Wilkie: "The Archaeology of Mothering: An African-American Midwife's Tale"

The Institute Faculty Seminar draws together Stanford faculty engaged in gender research for expansive, cross-disciplinary discussions of work in progress. Meetings are held at Serra House two times per quarter. We will either read a paper before hand or hear presentations--depending on the presenter's wishes. Sessions are designed to assist presenters in thinking more broadly and deeply about their research. We will discuss and then have some time to sip wine and have some nice things to munch on.

Laurie Wilkie will present a talk entitled, "The Archaeology of Mothering: An African-American Midwife's Tale"
