Biography

Mallik Tatipamula is a senior product manager for advanced technologies, Internet Routing Group, Cisco Systems, Inc., San Jose, California. He has been with Cisco since 1998. At Cisco, he has made contributions to VoIP, Mobile Wireless, IPv6 and UCP technologies and product development. Mallik closely works with Service providers and National Research Networks organizations around the world regarding deployment of these technologies in their next generation networks. He has made several presentations to Service providers and NRNs around the world. Prior to joining Cisco, Mallik was a principal engineer at Motorola, Cellular Infrastructure Group,

responsible for defining system architecture for advanced wireless and satellite systems. From 1993 to 1997, he was a senior member of scientific staff at Nortel Networks, Ottawa, Canada, responsible for development of "Network Synchronization, Synchronization Status messaging" on Nortel's OC12 products and also involved in CDMA Base Station Development. From 1990 to 1992, Mallik was with Indian Telephone Industries as an Assistant Executive Engineer in Transmission R&D Laboratories and Indian Institute of Technology, Channai, as a Senior Project Officer in Fiber Optics Labs, responsible for development of optical data links. He holds Master of Technology in "Communication Systems and High Frequency Technologies" from Indian Institute of Technology, Channai and Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Warangal, India. Mallik has authored/coauthored number of publications including technical articles, reports, papers in conference proceedings. Mallik is a lead editor for "Multimedia Communication Networks: Technologies and services", by Artech House Publishers, Boston and London. He is a senior member of IEEE and his biography appeared in Marquis "who is who in the world, who is who in America, and Who is who Science and Engineering".
