2005 Summer Institute in Political Psychology

The Summer Institute this year will offer 3 weeks of traning in political psychology to up to 60 participants, including graduate students, faculty, professionals, and advanced undergraduates.

A wide range of topics are explored, including terrorism, the causes and dynamics of war, the determinants of election outcomes, public perceptions of the legitimacy of their governments, the influence of the news media on political affairs, processes of individual and collective decision-making by political elites, bargaining and negotiation between and within nations, the impact of leaders' personalitites on their actions, and much more.
