The State of the Black Community 50 Years Since Brown: Progress or Regress

The rise of new challenges and responsibilities in the Black community implores us to reflect and strategize on the changes that have brought us this far. As racism, the African-American ghetto, and segregated schools persist post-Brown, the question remains, "How far has the African American community progressed?" Find out in a strategizing

session with prominent scholars and community leaders on The State of The Black Community, brought to you by The Real News, Stanford's oldest African-American student publication. Attendance at the forum is open to the general public.

The panel will be led by: Dr. Charles Ogletree, Harvard University Professor of Law; Dr. Rick Banks, Stanford University Professor of Law; Eva Patterson, Director of the Equal Justice Society; William McNeill, Managing Attorney at the Employment Law Center in San Francisco; Grace Carroll, Education Consultant; and Yetunde Reeves,

Principal at McClymonds High School in West Oakland.
