The awarding of a prestigious literary prize for a memoir written by an elderly black woman leads to an explosive confrontation between the young black woman who edited the book, and the middle aged white man who claims to have written it. Followed by discussion with director, actors, and Profs. Claude Steele and Hazel Markus.
