ENCOUNTER:MERCE Music and Dance by Chance

Celebrating the legacy of Merce Cunningham and John Cage, Stanford alumni choreographers, student composers and dancers, and the Stanford Improvisation Collective ([sic]) will join forces to create and perform collaborative, chance-based dance and music pieces. In the spirit of Cunningham, the individual creations will come together for the first time at this premiere performance.

This is event is part of Encounter:Merce, Stanford's campus-wide interdisciplinary exploration through the arts, focusing on the life and art of Merce Cunningham, legendary choreographer, dance innovator, and artistic thinker.
