The People Themselves: A Discussion with Law School Dean Larry Kramer

The Stanford Legal History Society offers the Stanford community its first opportunity to discuss popular constitutionalism with Larry D. Kramer, the new Dean of Stanford Law School. Dean Kramer will provide a brief introduction to the ideas he lays out in his new book and will open the floor to questions and discussion. Dean Kramer's brand of "Popular Constitutionalism" was featured in the 2004 NY Times "Year in Ideas" special, and his book has been considered one of the most important contributions to constitutional law in the last decade.

Reception and drinks will follow. Suggested reading: Chapters 1 and 2 of "The People Themselves: Popular Constitutionalism and Judicial Review."
