Argentine tango is the original tango. It originated from the bars, brothels, and slums of 19th century Buenos Aires, to reflect the "sad, sensual, sexy, and violent" lives of the city's inhabitants. Once considered by the rich to be a dance of debauchery, Argentine tango has spread throughout the world and become a sign of elegance, refinement, and passion.
