Literary Reading with T.M. McNally and Todd Pierce

T. M. McNally is the author of the novels Until Your Heart Stops and Almost Home. He is also the author of the story collections Low Flying Aircraft, which received the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, and Quick, which received the Michigan Literary Award. His short stories appear in some three-dozen literary publications, among them Conjunctions, DoubleTake, and Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards. Other honors include a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Howard Foundation Fellowship at Brown University, the Yale Review's Smart Family Foundation Award, and the William Faulkner-William B. Wisdom Gold Medal for portions of his novel, The Goat Bridge, which will be published in 2005. He teaches at Arizona State University and lives in Scottsdale with Sally Ball and their three children.

Todd Pierce's novels include Sky Like Tamara Blue and The Australia Stories. He has published short stories in dozens of America's top literary magazines, including Fiction, The Georgia Review, The Missouri Review and the North American Review. Winner of the IAP Award for Fiction, a Kingsbury Fellowship, and the Charles Angoff Award, Todd Pierce is an assistant professor at Clemson University, where he's at work on a new novel set in the golden age of Disney animation. His recently published stories include "Columbine: The Musical," "Wrestling Al Gore," and "Arise & Walk, Christopher Reeve."
