Taste of Islam 2005: What It Means to be a Muslim

Featuring Speaker Chantal Carnes

Includes an Ethiopian dinner to highlight the culture and people of Ethiopia, and a Tsunami donation drive through Stanford Students for Relief!

Many people see Islam as a religion of rules and rituals. But, as Chantel Carnes will explain, Islam is really a spiritual way of living one's life. Islamic beliefs are very much about one's personal relationship to God. This talk takes a philosophical approach to what it means to be a Muslim.
