Debra Zumwalt, Vice-President & University General Counsel, is the featured speaker for this discussion and lecture series that encourages reflection within the Stanford community. Zumwalt received her J.D. from Stanford in 1979, and as Vice-President & General Counsel, she is responsible for the legal work of Stanford University, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

What Matters to Me and Why is a discussion and lecture series that encourages reflection within the Stanford community on matters of personal values, beliefs, and motivations in order to better understand the lives and inspirations of those who shape the University.
