National Promise Speaker Series: Joe Simitian and Ira Ruskin

The Stanford Democrats sponsor Ira Ruskin, our local assemblyman, and Joe Simitian, our state senator as the first installment of our elected officials speaker series, "National Promise: Responsible Government and the American Dream." Assemblyman Ruskin and State Senator Simitian will speak on how government can affect positive change in our country, as well as the state of California from a progressive point of view. Specifically they will focus on education, the environment, and the budget.
