CANCELLED - A Report Back from Baghdad with Robert Fisk

In the last year, the Middle East has seen tumultuous change. With the deaths of Rafiq Hariri, Shaikh Zayed, and Yasser Arafat; elections in Iraq, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia, and the ongoing U.S. and Israeli occupations, the situation in the region is growing more and more complex and few know it better than Robert Fisk. Fisk is an award-winning correspondent for the Independent of London. As Britain's most decorated foreign correspondent, with a specialty in the Middle East, Fisk provides a unique, insider perspective on the new environment in the Middle East. Currently the Beirut correspondent for the London Independent, Fisk has covered the Iranian revolution, the Iran-Iraq war, the Persian Gulf War, the most recent US war against Iraq, and the recent assassination of Rafiq Hariri. He has spent time over his illustrious career in almost every country in the Middle East and his book, Pity the Nation, is considered the most outstanding history of Lebanon's struggles. On Community Day, hear him discuss his experience covering the war and occupation of Iraq!
