Friends of Music present Adam Gilbert in a Faculty Showcase

Take a love song, preferably a popular one with a nice melody and silly lyrics (if you think about them too much). Improvise new voices with lots of fancy passagework and syncopated rhythms for good measure to show off. Write very little down. Either be forgotten, or remembered as one of the highest paid musicians of the century. Jazz, right? Fifteenth-century musicians didn't call it that, but they did the same things. Come learn about their sounds and techniques, and sing along. (Tap shoes and interest in marginalia or esoteric French chanson texts optional.)
