Doing Business: American and Chinese Perspectives

Doing business in a foreign country can often be a delicate issue. China and the U.S. are countries with very different cultural backgrounds and practices in many spheres of life. This gap is often widened by divergent views of what is acceptable or unacceptable business practice. In this panel, a group of prominent businesspeople from different sectors will share their valuable experiences in navigating the two business environments of the US and China. Their talk will address questions including common pitfalls for Americans trying to pursue a business in China and vice versa. What are some ways of facilitating these relationships from the standpoint of an American or Chinese businessperson?
