Pakistan's biggest rock band JUNOON Live on campus!

'Q' Magazine calls them "One of the biggest bands in the world". Billboard says "Junoon is the subcontinent's biggest crossover success after the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan". Time magazine says "Junoon uses soaring guitar riffs to deliver a Sufi message of mystic harmony".

The New York times called Junoon "The U2 of Pakistan"

Salman Ahmad, lead guitarist, song writer and music composer of the band has been approached by Mera Nai, famous film director and producer from India, to do music for a broadway musical. Salman will also do a movie sound track for a famous director /producer in Pakistan.

Salman Ahmad of Junoon did a song recently called Ghoom Tana with Shoba Mudgal from India. The purpose of this collaboration was to bring forth the importance of building bridges between India and Pakistan. Salman plans to do a sequel to ghoom tana with other Indian artists in the future.

Salman Ahmed did a documentary for wnet channel 13 called "The Rock Star and the Mullahs" which won the first prize at the (S.A.J.A) awards held last year in New York. He just finished doing another documentary called “This is my Country too" ,for BBC. This film is presented by salman and he sheds light on the lives of Muslims in America after 9/11. The documentary will be aired all over the world before June 2005.

On March 28, 2005, Islamabad will host an event entitled "United Nations HIV Aids Conference". This conference will feature important personalities like President Musharraf and Senator Hillary Clinton. Salman Ahmad of Junoon, who is also a United Nations ambassador for HIV Aids, has the honor of being invited as a guest speaker at this conference.

Junoon also plans to distribute their latest albums Infiniti and Social Circus in the United States this year.
