CANCELLED - Copper Maker Dancers from British Columbia

The Copper Maker Dancers, a Kwakiutl dance group from Vancouver Island, Canada, perform various traditional Native songs and dances. In some cases, the dance dramatizes the adventure stories of the ancestor, while in others the dance recreates a dance given to the ancestor by a mythical being or by a dream being with whom the ancestor came in contact. Sponsored by the Stanford American Indian Organization, Native American Cultural Center, Fred Rehmus, and the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
