Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
- I Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have you heard? 24/7 Prayer is Returning to Stanford!
What is 24/7 prayer?
* 24/7 is a movement spreading all over the world, where believers come together to continuously pray for an extended period of time, according to God's instructions in 1 Thessalonians 5: 17. We are called to continually devote ourselves to prayer as it is how God empowers, reconciles, and draws us close to Him. 24/7 also promotes the Christian body as we celebrate our joys and minister to one another through shared prayer. Come join in the prayer with people from groups all over campus. Pray for missions, the world, the unsaved, friends, family,... and worship God.
Who is 24/7 prayer for?
* YOU!!! Everyone who calls Jesus Lord is welcome to participate from individuals, to small groups, to friends as we genuinely seek God's face and will together.
But what if I can't pray for a whole hour?
* You Can!!! Actually, many people are surprised at how fast an hour goes by in the prayer room. We have many things in the prayer room to promote prayer, worshiping God, and seeking Him. There will be paper to draw on, pillows to sit on, journals to write in, Bibles to read, and even music to sing along or listen to. Give an hour to the Lord and we are sure you you will not be disappointed!
How do I get more information?
* Glad you asked!!! Check out the official website at: prayer.stanford.edu. Here you will find more details about 24/7 in general as well as logistical information about times, location, etc. You can also quickly and easily sign-up for a time slot on-line.
