Ernesto Galarza Commemorative Lecture and Stanford Chicano & Latino Community Awards and Dinner

Keynote Speaker: Michael Olivas, U. of Houston Law Center. Olivas is a leading expert on higher education law, and has recently completed a second term as general counsel of the American Association of University Professors. He is known for his scholarly work in higher education and other fields, and in placing Latinos on many law faculties. The title of his talk will be: "Plyler v. Doe: Lawyering behind the Scenes and Parallels to Brown v. Board."
