WIS Seminar: "Manufacturing Great Science at SLAC"

Take a peak behind the scenes to learn about the who, what, where, and how of SLAC's mechanical fabrication processes with Karen Fant, Department Head of the Mechanical Fabrication Department [MFD], and Denise Larsen, Machine Shop Supervisor, MFD. They will give a "show and tell" on the components they make for the Stanford linear accelerator, its many beamlines and physics experiments. This illustrated talk will illuminate the fabrication of the equipment that makes SLAC a successful research lab.
