Susan Blumenthal in Conversation with Roosevelt Fellows: Critical Public Health Challenges of the 21st Century

Susan Blumenthal, formerly U.S. Assistant Surgeon General, will conduct a public talk with fellows from Roosevelt's Center on Health and Human Services on critical health challenges of the 21st century.

Blumenthal has been a major force in bringing important public health issues including women' s health, mental illness, and disease and violence prevention to scientific and public attention. Blumenthal served as the country's first ever Deputy Assistant Secretary for Women's Health within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and as an advisor to The White House on public health issues, and she was been named by the "New York Times" as one of the top twelve doctors in the women's health field, by the "Ladies Home Journal" as one of the ten most important women doctors in the country, and by the "Medical Herald" as one of the twenty most influential women in medicine.

This event is free and open to the public; all are encouraged to attend.
