Fine Arts Quartet with Bernard Zaslav, viola

Experience Mozart at the pinnacle of his chamber music creativity as the Fine Arts Quartet

dedicates an entire evening to the maestro's challenging viola quintets. One of the most

recorded and enduring ensembles in chamber music, this distinguished foursome is joined by

celebrated local violist Bernard Zaslav, a member of the quartet from 1968 to 1980 and an

original member of the Stanford String Quartet. Ralph Evans, violin; Efim Boico,

violin; Yuri Gandelsman, viola; Wolfgang Laufer, cello; Bernard Zaslav, viola.

PRE-PERFORMANCE DISCUSSION: 1:15 pm

"The Fine Arts Quartet is like the most comfortable of friends, one who allows you to kick

off your shoes, let down your pretense and wallow in the great warmth of its personality."
