Holocaust Rememberance Day Speaker and Commemoration

Join us for a Holocaust rememberance program with Holocaust survivor, Marie Brandstetter, who will be here to tell her story.

Marie Brandstetter was born in Blaski, Poland, in 1933. Forced to flee Poland after the Nazi invasion in 1939, she and her family sought refuge during the war is small towns and villages throughout the Soviet Union and Central Asia. In 1947, Marie was aboard the ill-fated Exodus bound for Palestine but turned back by Britirh troops. In 1950, she and her younger brother immigranted to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Marie has published a book about her story, "Mania'a Angel: My Life Story,: that tells of the family's struggles to survive and stay together during the most terrible times of the 20th century.
