POLITICS OF REFORM: The Bank of China and the 1916 Bank Moratorium Incident

Georgia Mickey, Post-doctoral fellow, Center for East Asian Studies argues that political engagement in reforming the Bank of China in the early 20th century was not only unavoidable but was beneficial to building the foundations of the Bank of China during this period's often chaotic transition from an imperial regime to a republican form of government.
