Mark Mancall, Professor of History, Emeritus, will be the featured speaker at this lecture series encouraging reflection within the Stanford community on matters of personal values, beliefs, and motivations.
Professor Mancall is an expert on the history, religions and cultures of Asia. Since coming to Stanford in 1965, he has taught courses on Asian history and Buddhism. Professor Mancall directed the Overseas Studies Program at Stanford from 1973 to 1985, and has led numerous Stanford Travel/Study journeys to China, India, Nepal, Central Asia, Indonesia, Tibet and Bhutan.
