An Introduction to Jazz Improvisation

Learn to improvise and to begin to express yourself creatively through jazz! Stanford Jazz Workshop founder and Stanford lecturer Jim Nadel will introduce basic improvisation in this hands-on workshop and jam for musicians with no jazz experience. You must have at least a basic proficiency on an instrument (a minimum of 18 months study). All instrumentalists (of all styles) are welcome though this class is not appropriate for vocalists and drummers. Bring your instrument and amp if you use one. Great for classical players.
