"You Can Do It!" Author Event

Join us as Francesca Sterlacci, Chair of the Fashion Design Dept. at the Fashion Institute of Technology, shares the passion and dream of the late Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas. "You Can Do It! The Merit Badge Handbook for Grown-Up Girls" is Lauren's vision that began a year before she died on September 11, 2001, aboard Flight 93. Her dream was to create the ultimate self-empowering resource, a book to help women of all ages realize their dreams. Inspired by her beloved Girl Scout badges, the project was nurtured to publication by her family and friends. Jam-packed with practical advice, this is a step-by-step instruction and kick-in-the-pants encouragement for achiveing 60 exciting "merit badge" activities. Ms. Sterlacci was a mentor for the project and will give us the tools to acheive our own dreams.
