Seminars in Women's Wellnes presents "Evolutionary Aspects of Diet, Omega-3/Omega-6 ratio, and Genetic Variation"

The Women's Wellness Seminar was created to provide educational opportunities for members of the medical and lay communities about issues surrounding women's mental and psychological health and well-being, particularly as these issues interface with other medical conditions. For the lay community, these talks provide information about relevant topics such as depression, bipolar disorder, reproductive function, and sleep disorders. For medical residents, physicians, and researchers, the discussions expand upon familiar topics while focusing on patient needs and providing insights into the interconnectedness of physical and mental conditions. This month's talk will be given by Dr. Artemis Simopoulos, who works for the Center for Genetics and Nutrition in Washington DC. It is titled "Evolutionary Apsects of Diet, the Omega-3/Omega-6 Ratio, and Genetic Variation: Nutritional Implications"
